Our Mission
To instruct and inspire. Creating a process which enables each athlete to maximize their genetic potential. We build ballplayers
Process over performance
Prepare to succeed
Why train with Metrics Lab Baseball? Our protocols are science based. The instructors are former players trained in technology. MLB offers complete programs from cross specific body training (LARS), to enhanced individual skill training. No two athletes are alike each one must be individually analyzed to address strength, mechanical and sequencing issues. MLB is highly efficient in this process utilizing experience, metrics, and high speed cameras to maximize each athletes performance.
Lars Session
LARS (linear/angular/rotational/sequencing).
The science behind the program:
In all rotational sports the goal is to increase exit velocity. If the workout you are doing is not addressing the same movements and planes specific to the sport you are playing then it is pretty much useless. The science of the game tells us it takes 10,000 perfect reps to master a movement. Baseball players move linear, angular, and rotational. The LARS program is designed to specifically target the muscle groups utilized to hit, run, and throw. The workout covers strengthening the kinetic chain (specific to baseball) while addressing proper mechanics, sequencing, and arm care recovery work.
Measure to master
There will be quarterly SED's (skill evaluation days) in order to monitor each athletes progression which includes; measuring arm speed, bat speed, running speed, and hand strength.
Winter LARS:There will be 28 sessions beginning the first week of December and running through the second week in March. Athletes will have the option of attending Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday sessions. -Monday/Wednesday 5-6:30pm
Tuesday/Thursday 4:30pm-6pm.

Pitching Sessions
Pitching lessons $60Â per half hour
Pitching lessons are one on one sessions that include the use of high speed cameras to identify and repair any mechanical or sequencing issues. Athletes will also be taught proper warmup, arm care and recovery work. As the athlete progresses technology is offered to identify spin rate, spin axis and spin efficiency. This leads into effective velocity and pitch tunneling. Think of pitching as an ever evolving process which is never fully mastered.
Hitting Sessions
Hitting lessons $50 per half hour
MLB hitting lessons are one on one sessions which address any strength or mechanical issues. Utilizing cutting edge technology to sequence each player's swing to maximize performance.
